Elsa Reinhardt
Member, "Founders Circle"
In 1990, after working over 30 years in the banking industry, I left the corporate world to start Elsa Reinhardt Enterprises, a business support company that works with various companies in Passaic and Bergen counties helping them to become more efficient and operate more effectively. After some personal setbacks in 2004 when my Dad got sick, and in 2006 when I was diagnosed with Lymphoma, and 8 months of chemo, I’ve started to bounce back with my business. At present, I do bookkeeping work for a few small companies, including NJAWBO.
I have been a NJAWBO member for 16 years and was a founding member of the Passaic County Chapter and served in many positions on my chapter board. I have also been on the NJAWBO State Board and served as President in 2001-2002. In the past 16 years I have volunteered at the state office and have been doing the membership input and reporting for all these years. As of this date, I am very proud to have earned four teal hearts, two from her Passaic Chapter and two from the State, and I was awarded the Nancy C. Righter Award in 2006.
As a firm believer in giving back, to all and to the community, I am a Trustee of the New World Montessori School in Hasbrouck Heights, a member of the Hackensack Chamber of Commerce, and President and a managing trustee of the Women’s Entrepreneurial Foundation. I have also acted as an Angel Investor in several women owned businesses within NJAWBO.
My more important and satisfying accomplishments has come from volunteer services. I am a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, where I teach Sunday School and Singing for the children. For the past 21 years, I have been the Coordinator and Registrar for the Apostolic Christian Church Eastern Camp Bible Conference that takes place the 3rd week of July each year, in Virginia. My responsibilities include the coordination of all activities, registration and placement for about 1,000 men, women & children for an entire week. It is so wonderful to see such happy faces and the joy of being together to have a week of fellowship without outside influences.
